Instructional Focus 

Students will engage in high-quality discussions, by responding to and extending each other’s thinking and crafting questions to help each other deepen and elaborate upon their thinking.

 Teachers will leverage questioning and discussion techniques to promote equity of student voice during discussions and will use multiple data sources captured to inform student feedback.

 Administration will: 

  • Build capacity through Instructional Leadership Team

  • Provide professional learning for teachers on equitable practices aligned to what quality discussion looks like and sounds like pertaining to equity, Danilson 3b

  • Establish school wide expectations

  • Observation cycles

  • Teacher feedback

  • Build teacher capacity in equitable practices to increase student achievement
